Teniola Olopade Award:

The recipient of the Teniola Olopade award is a blossoming bold woman.When it comes to fulfilling her dreams, this woman waits for no one.She leads. She makes choices. She does not shy away from pivoting when necessary; and she equips her sisters to do the same. She knows that success includes opening doors for both herself and her sisters. She understands that a loving and resourceful community is a currency second to none— and is intentional about nurturing the communities to which she belongs. In addition to her intentionality, the recipient of the Teniola Olopade award stands out for her radical self-awareness. She takes no action without first identifying her desired outcome. She is calculated and she gracefully learns from her mistakes and those of others. She is hungry for knowledge and highly values education. She is both curious and not easily swayed by the whims of society. She marches to the beat of her own drum and is en route to color the world with her vibrant spirit.

The Sylvia Nthoki award.

The Sylvia Nthoki award honors and recognizes adolescent girls and young women beneficiaries’ with demonstrated entrepreneurial skills which they utilize to support their pursuit for an education. Having supported herself through school by selling thrifted clothes, Sylvia’s award is dedicated to girls with a similar vision. The award is part of a long-lasting legacy she is creating to ensure that girls creativity in small business ventures is invested in through small grants to grow these businesses and pay their school fees. In a context that rarely acknowledges girls and young women’s contribution to society, this award is a true testament to walking the talk on sisterhood and being a sister’s keeper, values Sylvia always upholds.

The Anzirimi Award

This award is for the woman who knows she has unlimited potential and sees a fire inside herself that she just needs the world to see. This woman sometimes lives in her head but once she is out, she is a fierce leader. She is a problem solver, an innovator and succeeds at anything she puts her mind to. The Anzirimi award recipient is one who not only makes her way to the top but also elevates those around her and is a light for many.
